Laura Stewart DeRosa lives and works in Denver, Colorado. Originally from western Massachusetts, she earned a B.A. in Studio Art and Art History from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York and an M.F.A. from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University in Boston.
The artist employs a wide range of drawing and painting media including oil, acrylic, watercolor and ink. She typically draws from life as a woman and a mother to depict intimate domestic scenes and sentiments. She maintains an interest in exploring concepts related to the human condition, specifically in regard to parenthood, love, loss grief, and intimacy.
